Getting started

Choose the right account and connect your campaign.

What can I do with PledgeBox?

PledgeBox provides tools for each stage of crowdfunding: Pre-launch Kit for audience building, Campaign Manager for a live campaign, Pledge Manager for surveys and orders, and InBox for email marketing. Choose the workspace for your current task.

Does PledgeBox support Kickstarter and Indiegogo?

Yes. PledgeBox Pledge Manager supports Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns. Connect the correct platform and complete the backer import before managing its orders.

How do I connect my campaign?

Sign in to your Creator account. You need the campaign URL and permission to manage that campaign.

  1. Open Pledge Manager and check whether the project is already listed.
  2. For a new project, select Add New Project, choose Kickstarter or Indiegogo, and enter the campaign URL.
  3. Follow the connection and import steps for your platform. Review the imported rewards and backer orders.
Do I need to share my Kickstarter password?

Do not send your platform password to another person or to support. Use the connection method shown in your Creator dashboard. Review the campaign and requested access before completing an authorization or collaborator step.

Will connecting a project send surveys to my backers?

Connecting and importing a project are separate from sending survey invitations. Configure your project, review the recipients, and choose when to send. A smoke test sends real invitations to a selected group of backers; a preview does not.

Pricing & payments

Understand what is charged and when funds become available.

Is PledgeBox free to use?

There is no setup fee or campaign fee on your original Kickstarter or Indiegogo funds. Surveys that collect no additional payment are free. The standard platform fee is 3% on payments collected through surveys, including add-ons, shipping and tax. Pre-order store transactions have a 5% platform fee. Payment-provider fees are separate. Check your project's Pricing Plan for its applicable terms.

What is the 3% survey fee charged on?

The standard 3% platform fee applies to additional payments collected through a PledgeBox survey. This includes add-ons, reward upgrades, shipping fees and taxes collected in that payment. It does not apply again to the original pledge collected by Kickstarter or Indiegogo. A $100 survey payment has a $3 platform fee, before payment-provider charges.

How much does the pre-order store cost?

The standard platform fee is 5% on pre-order store transactions. A pre-order store lets you accept new orders after your crowdfunding campaign. Stripe or PayPal processing fees are separate. Check the terms for your project before opening the store.

Which payment providers can I use?

Pledge Manager supports Stripe and PayPal for additional survey payments. Backers see the payment choices available for the creator's connected account and their transaction. The Bank Account option uses Stripe Express and has its own payout settings.

Are Stripe and PayPal fees included?

No. Payment providers charge processing fees separately from the PledgeBox platform fee. Their rates can vary by account, country, payment method and currency. Review the provider's terms and the fee breakdown in your receiving account.

When will the money reach my bank?

A successful payment, an available payment-account balance and a bank payout are different stages. Check your connected Stripe or PayPal account for settlement, holds and payout timing. The Bank Account route through Stripe Express has separate payout settings. Direct collection into a payment account does not mean immediate bank availability.

Surveys & fulfillment

Prepare your survey and turn responses into orders ready for shipping.

How do I prepare and send a backer survey?

Connect your campaign and review the imported rewards and backers. Configure products, variants, reward mapping, shipping, tax and payment settings. Preview the backer experience and resolve blocking checklist messages before sending invitations.

Do I have to offer add-ons?

No. You can use a survey to collect addresses and product choices without offering extra products. If you collect additional payment for shipping, tax or another order adjustment, the applicable collection fee still applies.

Can I collect shipping fees and tax in the survey?

Yes. Configure the shipping rules and tax settings for your project, then preview the total for the destinations you serve. Original pledge credit, additional items, shipping and tax should produce the intended balance. Tax calculation and collection settings do not by themselves mean PledgeBox files or remits taxes for you.

How do I prepare orders for fulfillment?

Review survey completion and order status. Export the intended orders from Download Center, or use an available shipping integration. Check the order selection and notification settings before uploading tracking information. A completed survey does not mean the reward has shipped.

Pre-launch & marketing

Find the right tool before, during and after your campaign.

What can I do with Pre-launch Kit?

Use Pre-launch Kit to build a pre-launch page, collect potential backer sign-ups and review advertising attribution. Prepare your product content, configure the page and tracking settings, and preview the result before publishing. Check the supported integrations in your workspace.

What can I do with Campaign Manager?

Campaign Manager supports live-campaign monitoring and campaign tools, including analytics and backer referral features. Connect the intended campaign, review the data available in your workspace, and check the settings and terms of a referral offer before enabling it.

Are InBox, Email Marketing and EDM the same name?

InBox is the email marketing product shown on this website. Its workspace and help articles use Email Marketing; older article titles may say EDM. Use it to create campaigns, select recipients, schedule sends and review reports. LaunchPad and Pledge Manager survey invitations are separate workflows.

How does PledgeBox compare with Kickstarter's Pledge Manager?

Both provide post-campaign survey and order-management tools. Kickstarter's current Pledge Manager also supports upgrades, add-ons, shipping and tax collection. Compare the tools against your project's requirements. PledgeBox supports targeted bundles, detailed shipping rules, specific-order previews and saved Test Mode orders. It also offers custom survey domains, Stripe and PayPal collection, and separate pre-launch, live-campaign and email marketing workspaces. Kickstarter provides a native workflow and documented tax services; compare the requirements and fees for your project.

Help for backers

Find your survey, check a charge or update your order.

I haven't received my survey. What should I do?

Search your inbox and spam folder for PledgeBox and the project name. Use the email associated with your pledge, including an Apple relay address if applicable. Ask the creator whether your order has been imported and its survey sent. Creating a Backer account does not make every campaign you backed appear automatically.

Why does my survey ask for another payment?

Your original pledge and a payment requested in a PledgeBox survey are separate transactions. The balance may include extra items, an upgrade, shipping, tax or another adjustment. Check the order summary and original pledge credit. If a charge is unclear, contact the creator before paying.

How do I change my shipping address?

Open the order through your survey invitation or Backer account. Update the address while the order allows edits, review any shipping or tax change, and finish the confirmation steps. If the order is locked or shipped, contact the creator about the available options.

How do I download my invoice?

After completing your survey, you can download an invoice if your order includes a payment through PledgeBox. In Campaigns Pledged, find the order and select Get Invoice. Use Update Invoice Info to review the details. A payment made only on Kickstarter or Indiegogo does not meet the PledgeBox payment condition.

How do I download my digital products?

Complete your survey and open the order. When the creator has made a file available, find Download the Digital Products and select Get the Download Link. Follow the email's download and verification instructions. Contact the creator if the file is missing, expired or has reached its download limit.

Who can help with delivery, refunds or a technical problem?

Contact the project creator about rewards, delivery, shipping charges or a refund request. Use the contact address in your survey or campaign. Contact PledgeBox support for login errors or a PledgeBox feature that fails. Include the project, PledgeBox ID and exact error. Do not send passwords, verification codes or full card details.

Still need a hand?

For delivery or refund questions, contact your project creator. For a PledgeBox technical problem, send us the project name and exact error.
